Our purpose‑built, state‑of‑the‑art clinical and functional assessment rooms enable us to deliver comprehensive pre‑employment functional assessments, including a general health check, musculoskeletal assessment, audiometry assessment, and role‑specific functional testing.
Conducted by our experienced physios, our industry‑leading functional assessments can be completed at our Campbelltown clinic, or delivered as a mobile service conducted on your site.
The functional component is specifically tailored to suit the job requirements of individual roles, as well as the minimum functional demands set by each business.
Professional reports can be sent to prospective clients on the same day as the assessment.
General health check
The general health check ensures candidates are medically suitable to undertake the full functional assessment. Information gathered here helps guide the clinician through subsequent physical components.
The general health check includes:
- Drug screening test (urine sample)
- Health questionnaire
- Basic health assessment
- Visual screening assessment.

Musculoskeletal Assessment
This assessment provides a detailed overview of musculoskeletal health and identifies potential acute or chronic injury risks. Our physiotherapists use clinical reasoning to determine how these findings may relate to the physical demands of the role.
The musculoskeletal assessment includes:
- Grip strength testing
- Dynamic movements
- Global joint range of motion
- Special/extra testing (tendon, ligament, and impingement assessment)
- Neurological and neurodynamic testing.
Audiometry Assessment
Our audiometry assessment evaluates a candidate’s hearing capacity to ensure they meet the auditory requirements of their intended role — especially in settings where communication, safety, and environmental awareness are essential.
The audiometry assessment includes:
- Baseline hearing screening
- Assessment of hearing thresholds across key frequencies
- Identification of noise induced hearing loss indicators
- Review of results against role specific requirements
This supports WH&S compliance and helps businesses meet workplace hearing conservation obligations.

Functional Assessment
The functional assessment is tailored to the physical requirements of specific roles, such as nursing, care work, construction, or manufacturing, and measured against minimum job specific demands set by each individual business.
The functional assessment includes:
- Postural tolerances
- Cardiovascular fitness assessment
- Assessment of manual handling capacity
- Analysis of manual handling competenc

Same day reports
Professional, easy to understand reports are issued on the same day as the assessment and include:
- A concise summary of key findings
- Identification of potential risks
- An overall risk rating (low, medium, or high)
