Flexible Funding Options
We offer flexible access to our allied health services through a range of funding pathways to support your individual needs:
Medicare
Allied health services may be subsidised through GP Management Plans (Chronic Disease Management Plans) – providing rebates for a five (5) sessions per year
Private Health Insurance
Depending on your level of cover, you may be eligible for rebates for allied health services. We recommend checking with your provider for specific details.
NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme)
Participants can access dietetic, exercise physiology and physiotherapy services under their NDIS plans to support capacity building, independence, and overall wellbeing.
Support at Home (formerly Home Care Packages)
Older adults receiving aged care funding can use their package to access allied health services, with a focus on maintaining independence, function, and quality of life.
DVA (Department of Veterans’ Affairs)
Eligible veterans and dependents may access fully funded (GAP free) allied health services, including with a GP referral.
Private (Self-Funded)
Services are also available on a private, fee-for-service basis, offering flexibility without referral requirements.

Leading Altaira Allied Health
Leading Altaira Allied Health is Michael Zoumaras - a highly experienced physiotherapist, who specialises in Aged Care and Occupational Health/Workplace Health & Safety. With dual degrees in Physiotherapy and Medical Science, Michael brings over a decade of clinical and operational expertise across diverse sectors including aged/community care, sports, construction, and defence.
His passion lies in helping individuals maintain independence and achieve long-term functional outcomes, values that continue to shape his leadership at Altaira. Since joining Altaira in early 2021 as Allied Health Operations Manager, Michael has built the Allied Health team from the ground up, fostering a culture of trust, professionalism, and evidence-based practice.
He has also developed a high-quality Pre-Employment Functional Assessment service, tailored to meet the specific needs of employers and reduce workplace risk. Michael’s greatest accomplishment while working at Altaira has been building the Allied Health team from scratch, focusing on building a culture of trust and ensuring the team's high professional standard.
